Ok, I've just inhereted management of our G3iV6 and G3iV11 systems.

Coverage paths are a mess. In the past I know I've seen templates for planning coverage etc. Are these anywhere on the web?

While I'm at it, any web resource that maps buttons on 7406, 8410 and 6408 phones to the appearance on the configuration screen?

The coverage paths usually start with h1 as the 1st through 8th cover path. Coverage path 1 would be 1 ring to Audix and so on. From their I don’t believe there is anything specific. Coverage paths are something that can get away from you if you do not go through the proper steps first. Years ago we had a, lets just say a not very active person as our system administrator. She would go in and just add another coverage path instead of

1. List usage extension of the extension that someone would like to have their phone cover to.
2. 2. Display coverage paths that were already assigned in the list usage of the extension.
3. display cover sender of that cover path.

I hired a new lady about 3 years ago and taught her these steps and now they are all about straightened out.

As for the programming of the buttons for your phones this link should give you what you need to program them.

Look under the terminals and adjuncts reference section.

One other thing that may keep you for making unnecessary repair trips that some may not agree with me on. On the 4th page of the 6408 station forms I completely blank them out. My tech’s have gone out on to many trips because someone was bored and wanted to play with the menu buttons. Auto call answer was on or the timer was turned on and they couldn’t figure out how to turn them off.

Hope this give you what you need.

mikeydidit: Thank you for the link. What I'm really looking for is a good way to diagram out coverage paths. I'll have to design my own.

Sostek, one command that might help you when working with your coverage paths is:

Display coverage sender-group x

Replace the x with the coverage path number and the system will list all the extensions that use that coverage path.
