Greetings All:

I have several 2600 class routers with T1-WIC's installed on Frame-Relay. When I SHO INT on most of them the line "Hardware is.." reads "PQICC". I have some new WIC cards that read "DSCC4".

Is this just a different chipset maker?

Thanks
R.Lee

There are two different T1-WICs and they are not interchangable (as I found out the hard way). One is for the older 2600s and the new one is for the newer replacement models of the 2600 series (maybe others but I have not tested them) They look the same but the new card in the old router will not work. You might have a mix of old and new??

Just a thought.

You also have to make sure you are running ios 12.3 at the very least, for v2 of the cards.

Is the "DSCC4" WIC the new V2 module? These are going into 2611XM routers.

If it is a v2 card, it should say v2 in the bottom right hand corner of the card. Atleast ours did.

Should and do are two different things.. mine did not :( That caused a bad case of heart burn for the afternoon.
