Hi All,
I have avaya IP office 500
I want to either:
1- Switch Off most of the phones at night by completely turning the power off.
2- or, if not possible, then set timing for the PBX to be off at night.

We are using analogue cable connected directly without PoE to Avaya 1408 and 1416.

The power figures quoted for telephones are frequently worst case values in order to do UPS calculations. The idle values are usually much lower and, except for busy call centres, most desk phones spend well over 99% of their life being idle.

I do have several IP Office systems on a test rig and that does all get turned off and on frequently as its in my own house. Nothing seems to suffer because of that but obviously when off it means zero phone service of any kind unless I wired in one of the analog power fail options.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
