Heres the issue, I have a excel spreadsheet that has 5 sheets. On one of the sheets there is a checkbox, when the checkbox is checked, two different sheets need to do the same thing. Both sheets have locked cells, with different formatting. I need to unlock each cell and allow all users to update these cells.

After which when the users clicks on the checkbox and unchecks the box, the cells should go back to the original format.

The fields names are different and the formatting of the cells are also different. I have been working on this for the past few days and just dont seem to get it.

Any ideas.

Hi,

Once any cell is identified as updateable, ie Locked = False, than all it takes to allow any update or not is to change the worksheet Protect property.

Use you macro recorder to accomplish this.

BTW, once protected, nothing need be done to allow changes to unlocked cells. The sheet only needs to be unprotected, is you need to change LOCKED cells.
