sound card problems

I recently installed W2K on my computer and now have no sound. I have looked for drivers but have not had any success. My PC has an OPTi Audio 16 sound card, chipset #82C933. Is there possibly another fix or do I need to get a new sound card?

Opti itself doesn't make sound cards, it only makes chips that other companies integrate onto their cards or motherboards.

This particular model is also known as the Opti 933 and a driver for Windows XP (which will probably work with Windows 2000) is available from here:

thanks for the information. i downloaded this file but it is not a good file, so i will look for this driver somewhere else. thanks again.
