We are using Cisco AS5300 RAS with two four E1 ports(120 terminal lines). Users connect to the Internet by dialing into E1 number(provided by telecommunication company).
The detail of RAS is:
IOS Version 12.0(4)XJ4
Flash Image file: c5300-i-mz.120-4.XJ4
There are two problems that we have with this setup.
1) Some users are not able to connect to RAS. When they dial into E1 number, they get dialup error 678 with a message that "The number is not answering". But if the same user dial to another ISP who is using Patton RAS, he is able to connect without any problem.
2) Second problem is that when user dials the E1 number, the RAS picks up the call and then it takes very long to display the prompt for username/pasword. But after specifying the username/password it connects immediately.
This second problem is for all the users. And with another ISP in the city who is using Patton RAS, it does not have any of these two problems.
Please help us as we are losing customers due to these problems.
Thanks in advance
