When I download pictures from my camera - Canon A70 (best 3MP camera on the marked) - recently I have been having the problem that some of the files are getting set as "private". This makes it so that my wife complains that ... "Honey, some of the photos we took are missing ...". This is getting rather anoying. More details below.
I am rinning XP Home and am using NTFS. "Shared Documents" (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents) on the PC is setup as a share and has Security set for Everyone-Foll Control. Everything under "Shared Documents" inherits the parent permissions. Under "Shared Documents" I have a folder "Shared Pictures" where I download photos from the camer. The download always creates folder(s) based on the shooting date. Most of the files properly inherit the permissions but usually a few of the files end up with my the permissions set for my logon and "SYSTEM" set for full control and no other permissions. Any ideas why???
Note: Another wierd item in case it is related. Sometimes I have noted that if I rename a file (using F2), its name does not show as changed until I refresh the folder.
Thanks,
Mark
