Hi guys,

I Hope someone can help ne with a special question.

We will install an IPO with about 270 Users who should use the Outlook Plugin, CallAssistant and LyncIntegration.

The customer wants to roll out these packages via Emperium Software distribution but there are some open questions...

- is it possible to chose the language in which the software will run after installation? We are in Germany and see that either on german Windows systems or on English Windows systems the display language is always German. In case of working together with international engeneers (using softphone/Flare) the display language has to be englisch. We took the msi package inside the installer EXE but were not able to find a switch to decide the display language of the installed software
- We are searching for a way to preconfigure the installed software. The end user should not have to configure server address, port, conf bridge no, username password. Therefore all user names are Nst<extnno> (Nst123, Nst987, ...) and the passwords are the same for all users. The users extn no can be extracted from ActiveDirectory. We were not able to find registry keys or config files or something else to insert the necessary informations
- CallAssistant should be used for hot key dialing. To add national or international dial prefixes and remove home country prefixes like +49 we checked the option to use windows location informations but call assistant does not add the dial prefix 0 (dial external SC is 0N/dial/N/LineGroup to dial on PRI-Trunk). So a connection will not be established because one 0 is missing.

I hope someone can help me with some useful hints.

Thanks in advance...

For international prefixes like +32 you can setup shortcodes like:
+32N,0N,Dial,0 ( natioanl calls )
+N,00N, Dial, 0 ( international calls )
So Call Assistant can send the +xxxxxxxxxxxxx number unchanged to IP Office ( TAPI does the same )

Automated install is not a option with Avaya client software, there maybe third party packages able to perform the taks you need but I doubt it will work.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

I know that a customer of us build a script to install the call assistant with the settings needed.
He used a powershell script for that.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
