Anybody out there knows how to add features to the SNOM m9 such as Park a call? I just can't figure it out? Can the SNOM m9 be actually programmed to park a Call?

Got to admit, we've only ever used Avaya DECT or standard alog DECt phones. If you can get them, BT Elements DECT phones have excellent range and the base is a separate item from the charger, so can be places in the best place for signal, instead of where it's going to charge the phone!!!

I've never used a WiFi phone, simply don't trust it. SME's don't tend to have the quality robust WiFi needed, and even then, i would still recommend DECT!!!!!

Keep it simple and separate. IP deskphones only get sold with us if it really fits or the customer really wants them, otherwise we'll go digital.

Using IP for the sake of it is something I've never understood but seen it alot!!

amriddle01 yesterday when I was looking for a phone at office depot and looking at all the different options I realized that the WMI is going to be an issue because how is an analog phone going to be alerted if it is not prepared with a WMI LED?

I purchased a Panasonic KX-TG4011N for testing, it has an LED on the top but I doubt it is going to light up when there is a message waiting.

Turn on voicemail ring back.
When there is a voicemail message is left then it will ring the phone when it is used.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

The DECT I got does not light up the MWI LED :-(

Can you do call back with essential? Sorry to task but as you guys know the demo unit comes loaded with everything and when you test and play with the system the lines between the different editions tend to get blurred and I have made the mistake of offering essential edition customers features that are only available with the preferred edition, call recording comes to mind.

Thanks,

Yep, tried them all...! This is the what I did, I first left a voicemail on the extension, I then went to the "Message Waiting Lamp Indication Type" and started from the top of the list or "101V" to the bottom of the list or "on", skipping None, and the LED never came on.

You need to set it and then leave a message.
It acts like an analog phone.
When you leave a message and then the right setup still does not work.

Indeed, you need to change setting(which means a reboot I think) > leave message if it doesn't work change setting > leave message, change setting > leave message etc etc. Doing it once and then changing the setting to see if the light comes on will not work :)

Also on analogue phones the light goes off as soon as you next go off hook regardless of if you retrieved the message or not, this is not a limitation of the system it because analogue phones work this way :)
