the only ones that want the Avaya certs are Avaya for their business partnersso they can have some sort of standard knowledge structure. But I worked with an ACS once and there was not even basic network knowledge present, studied for it and forgot it right after that again is my guess.
Certs don't mean shit if you don't have the actual knowledge to make things work.
I did the Beta for ACSS and it was more for sales than for anything else but believe me I put comments in there to reflect my opinion.

The ACIS is much easier.
It is based on the basics while ACSS is for the advanced part of the IPO.

If it was free then i would do it.

The laptop bags were terrible - went through 2 in a few months, real cheap "leather" Still use the T shirts for work, gives the customer a little extra faith sometimes.
