SIP Gotcha

FYI, this bit us on a cut Friday night. We had all the SIP programming done to a Vocera System but you could still not make a call in either direction. Problem was under the System Tab and then under the Telephony Tab there is a Maximum SIP Sessions, by default this is set to "0". We just made it 48 since that was how many SIP licenses we had. After that all worked fine.
 
And this is an IP Office post - Vocera is the third party SIP provider.

Vocera is actually a Wireless Voice Pendant system the Nurses at this Hospital use. The integration is SIP. But this will hold true for any SIP connected device to IPO. We replaced a CS1000 with this new Server Edition IPO.
 
Yeah, the new setting was bought in at 9.1 and has caught many people out.

yep ran into the exact same thing. Maximum SIP Sessions, server edition only. :) good times indeed.
