Hi all.

Something really weird is going on here. My customer is a college, they are recording the first part of the greeting every month to announce special event and then the regular greeting start playing. I programmed them a code so they can record that first part at the of the greeting without using the client. Everything is working fine but randomly an older greeting is coming back. Sometimes it can take a week or 2 before it happen but yesterday the greeting only last one day. What is very special is that yesterday it start playing an old gretting from november. I did that a few time in the past and the old recording was always over right by the new. When they record the last one I went in the server with filezilla to check if there was 2 message but only the right one was there.

when you look at the greeting the creation date is also old?
and the new creation date is gone?

do you have a backup server that maybe take over and when it fails back to the primary it comes back with the old greeting?

Hi Westi.

There is no secondary server. Only primary and 1 gateway. For the date I don't know because customer record it again this morning.

little update.

Every day I see this in the log. Not always at the same time.

weird...

Are you using File Manager in Web Administration to upload files?

No.

All recording were done with the VM pro client at the beginning.

usually I use filezilla or winscp.

I would then delete both of those recordings and start fresh, something must have become corrupted, worth a try anyways

I've experienced that issue when there is a file with the same filename on the workstation that is running the VM Pro client. Avaya recommended to not store recordings in any of the VM Pro directories on the workstation. Seemed to take care of it, but why it happens was a mystery.

Biv343,

this recording is done with a short code pointing to a menu, not with the client.

I will give it a try for sure.

I will post the result next week.

Thanks

I had the same thing happening that biv343 reported with the recordings on my laptop that uploaded onto the system automatically.

if there is a vmpro client on site go and see if there are backup recordings saved in the WAVS folder and delete them just to make sure even if you don't use the client to start the recording it could be used to look up the code or simply check something on the vm programming and then it could happen.
