Send call directly to VM with no ringing of extension

I have an IP Office V2 with latest firmware 7.23

I would like to know how users can transfer calls directly to VM in IP Office without having the extension ring. This needs to be done without setting DND. Their old phone system could do this and they would like for their shiny new IP Office to be able to do so as well.

How can I accomplish this? I haven't been able to find this shortcode anywhere. Any help would be appreciated

This is what I'm using currently. It is working but I don't know if it gives a short ring at the set first or not


##XXXX (where ## is an arbitrary Code (could be *981xxxx)that fits into the shortcode sequence, and XXXX is the extension number length. )

Feature= Voicemail Collect
Telephone Number= “#”N(This #is not arbitrary and does not match ## from above

Sequence is Transfer, then ## and extension.
Consequently if you just press ## and extension it acts like send message (feature 980)
2 birds with one stone.
I did not create this, just what I found from here and my companies support crew.

The problem is that the system was putting quotes around the command. I found the solutions was to change the shortcode to Feature: dial, save it, open the system, then change it to Voicemail Collect.

The quotes did not appear AND it now workis properly

If your extension range is in 200'
1. creat short code as follows
#2XX
voicemail collect
#2N
save short code but not config
2. quotation will appear on #2N so you will need to change voicemail collect to voicemail node and save shortcode but not config. quotes will disappear.
3. Change voicemail node back to voicemail collect and quotes will not appear.Save shortcode.
4. Save config.
5 Transfer callers to #2xx. You will hear a brief ring on hand set but the phone will not ring.

Only if the user is not on the phone.If the user is on the phone thee DSS key will give additional options like call and to voicemail and ringback.

Just give them 2 call keys and enable reserve last call appearance.
