I have a UserForm that has a number of checkboxes and although my code works fine by giving focus to a specific box, I wish to be able to highlight multiple boxes with mouse control. However, the form does not seem enabled for this type of selection and I cannot find a control/ property to allow this type of selection. Does anyone out there have any ideas?

Unless the check boxes are in an OptionGroup or Frame, they are individual selections. You should be able to either remove them from the Frame or OptionGroup if they're in one to make them each selectable and not dependant upon each other.

Hi Dreamerz,

There are 12 checkboxes in a single frame. The problem I have is that I cannot seem to select them with the mouse as a drag and select move. I can select multiple boxes by clicking each one, but when they're adjacent, Id like to use the mose for ease. I'm running Excel 2000 if that helps?

What I have done in a similar situation is to just add check boxes at the bottom of each column or at the end of each row that say, "Select Col/Row" and another button somewhere that says, "Select All." Probably not the solution your looking for, but it works for me.

Good Luck.

That's a tough one because there's no MouseOver event in Excel that I know of. You might want to play with the MouseMove/Up/Down Events, but you might be better off with TropicalFred's idea.

Maybe you could change from check boxes to a multi-select list box instead. You could then use the shift or ctrl select.

Sorry.

Hmm, Interesting idea TropicalFred. I'll give it some thought as I'd have to re-design my form to accommodate it.

Thanks to you both

Dave
