Not sure if I need to worry about this.. It may be a simple (load the driver) fix (?) Anyone have any ideas?? (Error Below):

Event Category: Printer Management
Event ID: 1106
Date: 1/19/2004
Time: 8:16:15 AM
User: N/A
Computer: xxxxxMF01
Description:
Client printer auto-creation failed. The driver could not be installed. Possible reasons for the failure: The driver is not in the list of drivers on the server. The driver cannot be located. The driver has not been mapped. Client name: (Gingras) Printer: (Client\Gingras#\Acrobat Distiller) Printer driver: (AdobePS Acrobat Distiller)

Thanks!!
Brandon

Pretty self explanatory. You need to have a print driver mapped on the Citrix server with the exact same name as the printer on the client. Until you do this, the client will NOT be able to print to this particular printer via a Citrix session.

I personally wouldn't worry about that as the client has probably got acrobat installed locally and as such is trying to create the adobe printer which you shouldn't need.

Cheers

Thanks Scott (and John!)... that was my original thought... He does have it installed locally so it hasn't been an issue.. I was just trying to get rid of the message :)

Thanks for also replyting to my Digital Certificates post! I replied back...

As an extra thought Brandon, if you only set his default printer to be conneted in citrix sessions then it would speed up connections by bypassing the other printers including the acrobat one, and as a by product deep six the error message.

Cheers
Scott

ascotta,
Can you really do that -- (setting the default printer only to connect to Citrix sessions)?

I am having this "problem" also and would really be interested to know how to set it up.

Thanks.
