hey all we are having issues with the rules setup - advanced rules - is there anyone that can help?

I'm sure someone can - if you provide more info.

ok thanks

trying to set up a rule on another folder (not the in-box) 1. if I choose server reply I get a rules error? (saying not available in current mode)
2. if I choose a template - how do I set up my template eg to create a new template with message in it for the reply

thanks

1. This must have something to do with Exchange.

2. To create a template for automatic replies - start a new mail message. Include the subject and body, but no 'To' address. Then, File, Save As, change the Save As Type to Outlook Template. Now you can use this as a reply template in your rule.

ok thanks done that - but still having issues - I move the message into a folder called "club" using organise I set the rule up for that folder. I cant get it to actually action once set up -

using blank rule
audience in subject line
reply using specific template (thankyou)(client only)

all looks ok - but doesnt action??

I think that you can only apply the rules to the inbox. You could modify your rules to reply when the message is recieved, then move it to the club folder.

details show that it is on the other folder - using organise - can run a rule on a different folder. Will keep trying we think it may be some restrictions on our server.

cheers

I can't test it at the moment, but I believe that the rules can manually be applied to other folders, but they only automatically process for the inbox.

Is your mail stored on an Exchange server or is it stored locally?
