Route Blocked outbound Calls to Announcement 1

We have about 400 numbers we block in our Avaya in the ARS using "deny". When the number is called, the caller gets a wave off tone.

However, we would now like to send the caller to an announcement letting them know the call is being blocked on purpose. We can do a few in the ARS Digit Conversion, but not 400. We were looking for a way to route the call to the announcement via ARS but can't seem to figure out how to get the call through a route pattern and trunk group to the announcement.

Suggestions?

I believe that is a system wide change that you can make under the system-parameters features.

Change the field: Controlled Outward Restriction Intercept Treatment: tone

to Controlled Outward Restriction Intercept Treatment: announcement XXXX

Tried it...it didn't change anything. I still get the wave off tone.

Thanks though!!

Sorry, this should be changed to annoucement under change system-parameters features (page 17 in CM 5.2.1):

INTERCEPT TREATMENT PARAMETERS

Restricted Number Dialed Intercept Treatment: tone

Awesome!! Worked great!!!

Now, because I know the folks around here, what if we needed some types of calls go to one type of announcement but a different set of calls go to a different announcement. Basically we have 2 classifications of blocked outbound calls (Do Not Call and Scammers). Any thoughts on how we could accomplish something like that?

I think you're probably looking at having to control this through ARS digit conversion if you need more than one treatment.

Yeah, that's where we always seem to wind up. But, we are limited to about 30-50 digit conversions which is well short of what we need. I haven't been able to find anything yet that says we can increase the capacity of the digit conversion table. Have you ever heard of increasing it?

What CM version are you on? Depending on your platform if you are on at least CM 4 you should have from 2000 - 4000 entries avaialable for digit conversion.

I just found some capacity docs and I see that. In theory we should have several thousand (4000 min to 6000). We are running CM 6.0. The Disp Cap says AAR/ARS Conversion entries has 6 used and 5994 available. But we don't have 6 entries in the ARS digit/AAR digit forms. We have like 3 or 4 total between the 2. Not sure where the count is coming from or if the AAR/ARS Conversion Entries line is the digit conversion.....I assume it is. If so, guess I'll populate it and see what happens! :)

Thanks for all the help and info!!! Hope I can repay the favor one day!
