Hello,

I have a question regarding the report application server (RAS) which should be able to generate reports using report templates made with Crystal reports. Whenever I open a report (through the default ePortfolio) that requires parameter input, I don't get any prompt whatsoever. Instead it displays all records. The parameter input is neccesary since I need to be able to select 1 id or a date range, for example: pick 1 customer from a cust db or display all orders from 1-1-2005 to 1-2-2005.

I am using the evaluation version of CR XI developers edition and I only just installed a basic IIS (default windows 2k install). Do I need a different edition of CR XI or do I need some addon for the RAS? (like, Java or ASP.net).

Thanks in advance,

Hi,
when you published the report did you check the option to prompt users for parameter values when run?

Aha, I always saved the report (.rpt) to the webserver. I didn't know I have to publish by saving the report in the enterprise folder. Now I will need to figure out how to get a CMS running since that's what the program asks for.

Thank you for the help Turkbear. I will try the feature once I get a CMS running.
