Hi All,

I have an IPO500V2 8.1.67 LAN 1 local IP Phones, LAN 2 on DATA network, IP routes in place. Port forwarding on router all set up. DMP Off
Remote Phones 9608 work from my home/office when using Netgear DG834G or Speedtouch ST585 V6. So I do think IPO Office set up correctly and router at customer site ok.

Issue 1
At customer remote office the remote extensions all register and look ok, Log in/out DND etc but no audio. We can call them and phone rings but no audio and they can call us phone rings but no audio. As above DMP off but from reading help file DMP does not apply to remote phones.
Have requested the following on the remote office firewall (unknown type but have requested info) and been informed that this has been completed.
Allow in and out
UDP 1719
TCP 1720
RTP/RTCP 49152-53246

H323 inspection off SIP ALG off

Think the remote firewall must be stopping the RTP but been assured the traffic is allowed. Anyone else had a similar issue and how did you overcome it.

Issue 2 Minor
When I use my Netgear DGND3300 at my home/office there is no audio on the phones but again they do register and you can call between but no audio. Have tried everything with the Netgear DGND3300 firewall and WAN port on the Netgear DGND3300 set up to resolve but does not want to work. Again any ideas much appreciated but this is really for my own curiosity to see if I can get them to work with my Netgear DGND3300

Thanks in advance

Basically the Remote phone solution is sh1t, it sometimes works fine but more often than not it doesn't, there are too many routers that it doesn't work with and too many variables that make/break it that it isn't a reliable and therefor not a sellable solution for customers, Mitel can do it almost 100%, so Avaya have no excuse...it's just sucks :)

Indeed but no sound is a routing issue 50% of the times.
What kind of IP route do you have in the IPO?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks for the quick responses!!
route in IPO
0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 Local DFG on data network LAN2

But the remote phones do work from my home/office so think my routing Ok

Then it is the remote location.
Remote worker is a hit or run option so i would not bet on it.

Thanks again for the responses, if I cannot get the remote phones working then customers wants to look at using the VPN from the phones (aware handsets would have to be swapped to 9630's), which I believe can be a right nightmare.

As for the MBG for the Mitel, I do have one and yes that works with all my routers and never had any major issues in getting these setup

Thanks again
