I have a problem computer running Windows 2000 Pro. I'm considering reistalling the OS but have a question. When Windows 9x is reintalled on a computer without removing the previous version...it would fix many issues but not interupt any of the programs, mapped drives, or shortcuts. On Windows XP, a reinstall over a previous installation changes the registry and most of the programs have to be reintalled, network drives remapped, and shortcuts recreated. Does this happen when Windows 2000 Pro is reinstalled or does it behave more like 9x?
