Recording conversation on IP office

Hi Fellas,
Need your help once more, searched and searched and searched and can't find the answer anywhere. I can take off the announcement that ominously says "WARNING! YOU are being recorded!" but the phone display still says "recording" so the customer got caught spying on his employees lol. Is there anyway to stop it displaying "recording"?

Check the "hide auto recording" box under voicemail in system. That should take care of it.

His employees (and callers) should be aware of the fact that calls are(may) be recorded
if not your customer may be breaking the law*

*this obliviously depends on local legislation which can be a bit vague at times

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
Thanks AACon, I had looked all over manager for this check box, except for way down in the bottom there.
 
Pay attention to what IPGuru said... depending upon your jurisdiction, you MUST inform employees and/or customer that their calls are being recorded.

Further, in some areas (Canada for example) you must also inform the parties involved as to the reason that the call is being recorded and for what purpose, and it is illegal to use the recording for any other purpose (e.g. if you say the call is being recorded for "quality assurance", you can't use it for discplinary purposes... as an example).

Depending upon the litigiousness of the jurisdiction, the employer could be setting himself up for a world of hurt if someone finds out what he's doing.
