One of the departments need to record all talls. It has to be enabled by the user.

Anyone doing this? Any suggestions on equipment.

Have a G3r to be replace by an S8700 next month.

Depending on how many people you need to record and what your budget is, NICE is a great solution, and can do exactly what you need however it is pricey. A simple and cheap solution is to purchase some stand alone recorders from something like a "Hello Direct" catalog. You can get good ones for around $200 each, user controlled, however you would need to change the tapes and there woulden't be any centralized way to pull recordings and listen, you'd have to do it tape by tape.

I've received a quote from a company called Sabionet, and they claim to have all that NICE has and more, and it's about 1/3 the cost:
Other companies you can obtain quotes from are Dictaphone and Witness and I've not heard good things about "Racal Recorders" so you may want to steer away from them.

It all depends on what your requirements and budget is. You should look into all of your options and get quotes from multiple vendors and also take into consideration the Monthly or Yearly maintenance fees when making your decision.

I've had to install NICE off of Definitys for call recording. Works very well.

Nice works really well. I also use Witness for couple of departments & the Agent initiated recording feature of Witness is better than Nice.
