Real Time CMS Report Data from Switch or Database?

I wonder How CMS real time report get Data. Does it query through switches? Does it report from Database?

CMS reports the data from the realtime databases but the access to the realtime database is not allowed outside the CMS application. You can design a custom report inside the CMS & can use the table e.g. "csplit".
You can configure the same as long as you are running it inside the CMS but the access to these cxxxx table is not allowed outside the CMS..
