I have a problem...

My installation of Outlook XP has started acting flakey.
I can't see my IMAP mailboxes or personal folders anymore.
I also can't remove them in order to re- add them.

I have tried running scanpst.exe,
completely uninstalling Office XP, rebooting & re0installing but Outlook stills sees it's previous setting.

I tried deleting all files related to outlook & rebooting & reinstalling & it stills sees the original settings with the IMAP folder & PST folders that I can't get rid of. Any Ideas?

Have you moved the pst file to a different location temporarily? Outlook pulls all folder settings direct from the pst file, you may have reinstalled outlook and reinstalled, sounds like outlook looked to the same location for the pst.

Move it or rename it.

Yes, I have tried moving & renaming the pst. It doesn't help. I need to clear or reset all of Outlook's settings to start fresh I think.

Anyone have any ideas?

Your posts doesn't state that you deleted the Outlook profile and rebuilt it which is where you issue really is and not with Outlook application itself. This is what I would do next.

Ahh, good point. No I didn't state that. I did delete the profile, I just forgot to mention it.

I ended up fixing it the old fashioned way. After uninstalling Outlook, I manually removed an hours worth of registry entries & then reinstalled. Now everything seems to be back to a fresh start.

Thanks everyone.
