I am on a Windows2000 server. I am running Oracle 8.1.7. My ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID system variables are properly set. I have checked my Windows "Users & Groups" settings and my login ("Administrator") is a member of the ORA_DBA group.
Given all of this, when I run "svrmgrl" and "connect internal", it asks for a "Password:"; if I run "sqlplus /nolog" and "connect / as sysdba", it responds with "insufficient privileges".
I am on a severe time crunch. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?
