If you are adding a PZ 537 card to the CP14/16 MP card you must initalize the memory area for it after placing it back in the system.
First do a complete backup of the MP with MATWorx 32 (precautionary step only).
You must then go into the off line mode (Must have MOC connection to the MP, turn sense wheel to a 2 and press reset) and execute CM 00>3>CCC. Then turn sense wheel back to 0 and DO NOT RESET!!!!
The above will not effect the current database.
This CM is available I think with 2200 and 2300 series software. If you have software earlier than this the procedure gets a little hairy and includes backups, B load, reload etc. Like I said real messy.
Anyway failure to initalize this card can cause major database corruption or cause issues like you have mentioned.
Functionality of the PZ537 is packaged in the CP24/26/27/28 of the NEAX IPS processors so the above process is for IVS2 only.
If the PZ 537 is added to the AP00-B card (IVS2 or IPS systems)you must also initalize it after plcaing the card back in the system. This is done with sw 1 &4 to the right and 2 &3 to the left and then CM D101>0000>CCC. You must then wait approx 30 to 40 seconds and then place all switches to the right and reset the AP00-B. You must then re-program the card for you SMDR, MCI, PMS etc...
