Programming for DID's on a PRI?

I am bringing up a V9.5 Prologix and just got our ISDN-PRI hooked up and can make an outbound local call from the one station I have programmed (x6601). However, when I try to dial the DID number (Ex.321-6601) of that station, I get a "the number you have reached is not in service" recording. To me this indicates a problem with the LEC programming but have been told by their tester that I need to do additional programming of my switch to handle these incoming calls. I've added DID #'s before and all I had to do was to assign a station, VDN, hunt group or ?? to one of the new DID's and away it went--BUT! that was on a system that was already setup by someone else before me and this is a NEW switch. Anybody have any idea what I need to look at? Thanks in advance.

I am no expert, but I have just recently done this too and had no problem.

What digits are they sending? Are they send 6601 or just 601?

Sounds like that message is more than likely coming from their switch.

You could do a 'list trace tac xxx' where xxx is the tac code of the new PRI.

Thanks for the speedy reply.
They are sending 4 digits-- 6601
The message itself is certainly not from my switch--I have no announcement board installed YET--also no attendant--could that be the problem?--I don't want an attendant but will be adding an announcement card.
Currently I'm calling a programmed station 6601, but if I call one that isn't 6623, and the intercept treatment is set to attd and there is no attd defined, what happens?

The main question is still--What programming/options is necessary to handle DID numbers being delivered on a PRI?
Totally new programming--certainly something I could have missed- Ex.-Is a Listed Directory Number required?

No LDN should be required. If you are able to call out, and don't wan't to manipulate the four digits you are getting, you should be OK. I've turned up quite a few where the LEC simply did not release the DID station numbers. I'd call the LEC and press them on the issue.

After posting here and talking to a couple of friends in the biz, I called the SBC tester back and explained that I and others thought the problem was on their end--possibly something to due with a database that wasn't updated--to which she stated empatically, NO! it wasn't anything to do with their end and that I needed to get "the vendor in to finish the programming".
I asked if she could do a test call and send down the 4 digits of the station I had provisioned. She asked me to wait a minute and put me on hold.
At that point, I grabbed my cell phone and I called the DID # 6601 that was provisioned and started statusing the trunk group repeatedly. All of a sudden I saw the first member of the trunk group change from in-service/idle
to in-service/active indicating a call was being offered to the switch--10 seconds later SBC tester came back on the line. I told her it looked like it was
working now and I went to check to see if the station was actually ringing and sure enough--it was. She asked me what I changed and claims to not have done
anything on her end.........yea RIGHT! The phone fairy strikes again.
Anyway, they appear to be working right so I went ahead and accepted the circuit. Thanks to Sezwhat and CaNNaBIS for your suggestions and being a sounding board. Hope I can return the favor sometime.

Hi! Did you check the fist page of the trunk group in which your DID was defined? If your CO is sending 4 digits, your digit treatment must be insertion and the digit that must be inserted is the x number.
