Hi
Help
I am programming an ISDN2/ BRI on a Norstar 0x32 and Compact Plus but can't get it working and keep getting NO LINES FREE when I press 9 and if I programme line on the key I get not DT and after awhile get same message as before. I have programmed this on many other Norstars and have got it working. I done the following
went into programming to maint section
went to module 2 disabled it
changed it to BRI4 in hardware section
rls
go back in to maint. enable mod 2
comes up with 201 -204
go to lines section
chose the following
Lines 001 -002
AUTO
POOL:A

HAve set the extns to access pool A
Set 9 to Pool :A
Tried Route 001 with destination 9

I have reset both the systems to default twice and after programming the above I rebooted the system.

I am getting no luck and have tried every option I can think of.
Is there something silly I am missing out. Please help as the customer has down graded from DASS to BRI/ISDN2

I get the lights on the card but when I dial i get NO F L.

Any help would be useful. As i have done quite a few sometime ago.

Hello MJDAVE.

It sounds like you are in the UK?. I'm guessing this as you are upgrading from DASS trunks and I seem to remember that any DASS lines are keycoded by the number of credits that you have for that system ID.

Although I've never programmed up a new or ISDN2 up on a Norstar. I thought that ISDN2 would also require keycodes in order to activate the circuits?.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

When I had BRI I had to program in the ISDN DN number and SPID code before the lines would sync up. I didn't see any reference above to that but is it needed with the ISDN2?

DN are only used when you configure ISDN 'S' extns.
I have got it working on the Compact Plus but couldn't configure it on the mOdular 0x32.
Thanx for your help
