Hi,
I'm trying to install mod_perl (Windows 2K machine). However everytime i try to use ppm from the command prompt, I get the following error.
Failed to load PPM_DAT file
Can't use an undefined value as a SCALAR reference at E:/Perl/site/lib/PPM.pm li
ne 1678, <DATA> line 40.
I currently have Perl installed on my E: drive. If I copy this directory and place it in D: drive, ppm works fine. I've checked all my paths, classpaths etc, and Perl directory is set as E:\Perl\bin
If I try to install mod_perl using MakeFile.pm from teh command prompt, the script again looks for a D:\Perl folder.
Any clues?

Are your D and E drives local to your computer or is either of them a remote drive?

Was perl origanally installed on the D and then moved to E?

What webserver, does mod_perl run on IIS?

My whole problem started cause I have a Perl app running on IIS 5.0. Had to move this app from IIS 5.0 to Apache 1.3 cause DLLHost.exe was eating up all the memory.
When I run my perl app, I am just getting the source code displayed on my browser. But if I run the same thing on command line, I am seeing the right output on command prompt. Isn't that what mod_perl is supposed to do? Can any of you also send me a sample httpd.conf file to run a Perl app?
Thanks and best regards,
Advait
