I am trying to upgrade from 4.0.5 but all of my modules are showing up red in the upgrade wizard and it fails every time.

406V2, 3 DCP30's, 1DCP16, 1 ATM16, 1 POTS8 and all are at 4.0.5

The ATM16 was never upgraded to the maint binaries.

I've read through bulletin 84 and I'm stumped. Any ideas? Am I missing something?

Fooball is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

The password is correct (default - Administrator)

The machiine I am using to upgrade the IP Office has VMPro running on it as well so it has a static IP and is directly connected to the switch.

no firewall.

Isn't password the default password for upgrading/Monitor/Callstatus?

In any case go into the security settings for that system and reset the password for upgrading since it's different from the config password.

you have ds30's, that means you need to have a 406u.bin copied into the 3.2.999 or the ds30s will never upgrade. Copy the file to there and try again

It's not the Administrator password you need. That is the Password for the Administrator Service User.

The default system password is password.

ronromano: I don't think that is an issue with 4.0.7. I upgraded mine from 4.0.5>4.0.7 without the IP406.bin in the same folder as the DS30 bin file

What is your DTE port kicking out in regards to this. Or the TFTP log? Are you getting failed to send errors?

Jamie, I didn't take the time to look. If you went from 4.0.5 to 4.0.7 you might have had the 406u in from before. Maybe this isn't an issue anymore. Who knows.

The 406 bin file in the 999 directory has been rectumfied.

I can confirm.

Thanks guys. I was using the wrong default password. I feel pretty stupid. I haven't had a lot of spare time to delve into 4.0 and I didn't know there was a separate password to upgrade and monitor. Doh!

then it is about time you start reading the techtips that come with the software
there is a lot of important information oyu need to know when you upgrade
