I have a Windows 2000 DNS server with an authoritative primary zone. The zone contains an SOA, NS, some alias, hosts, and MX records.
When I query the zone through nslookup, it will only show me the nameserver and the internet address, but no other records (nslookup -q=all domain.name).
When I query specifically for MX records (nslookup -q=mx domain.name), no MX records are displayed.
If I run nslookup in command mode and type ls -a domain.name, it will list all records (including MX records), but I cannot query them individually.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
John
