It has been may years since I have installed a PRI on a R6 Definity and I need a refresher.

I have the boards installed and the physical connections made to the circuits.
I have configured the DS1's, Signal groups and the Trunk groups.
When I try to add the links in the Comm Links form, I get an error stating "ISDN-PRI is not supported over PI links".
I cannot remember what else needs to be done that might affect this.
What do I need to do to get this active?
I hope calling Avaya is not involved...

Thanks in advance!

Todd

Is the ISDN-PRI software enabled in Customer Options? If 'ISDN-PRI over PACCON?' is set to 'y', you can use a TN464 and not have to use a port on the Processor Interface board (TN765) to terminate the D channel.

Kevin,
'ISDN-PRI over PACCON' is set to yes. And I am conveniently using TN464F boards!
How would I go about configuring the link without the Procr Interface?

Thanks!

Todd

You don't configure a link unless your using processor interface to convert isdn d-channel to x.25

For packet, you need tn778 installed and customer options enabled like Kevin showed you above.

add ds1
add signaling-group
add trunks
It should work

status packet should show in service, Total links, number of links established

Ok, I found that there is no TN778 board in the system.
I was able to get the 'ISDN-PRI over PACCON' turned off.
I was then able to add the Com Links and the Procr Interfaces.

So I think I am good to go now.

Thanks for the link Kevin. I am saving that for future reference.
