PRI Migration Issue Cause=57 1

Hello everyone,

Customer wanted to change to PRI (ATT IP Flex) and I'm getting an error when attempting to dial in or out. Verified my config with previous installs I've done and it all matches up. Any idea what it can be? I'm thinking its codec config on att side.

looks like you are trying dial 3k1,
Change your short code, try feature dial

Here's Cause 57:
Cause No. 57 - bearer capability not authorized.
This cause indicates that the user has requested a bearer capability which is implemented by the equipment which generated this cause but the user is not authorized to use.

Sounds like AT&T's issue to me.

Off the top of my head the only thing on your end that could potentially cause this are unlicensed PRI channels. Maybe an explicit attempt to use something unsupported like 56K channels. I would suspect they haven't properly allocated B-Channels to your circuit so your request for a B-channel is being denied.

Yeah I thought about this too but they will only be using 7 lines out of the 8 on the pri card.

I mentioned this to the tech from att several times to check what was going on. I even made another PRI cable to check but nothing worked. Hopefully tomorrow I land someone that is willing to assist me better and not let me go for another customer.

Is AT&T rejecting your call because you're sending 226 as the calling number instead of NPAXXXXXX ?

Changing the ARS to dial instead of dial 3k1 gives the error cause=16

You need to ask them why they are rejecting it, you could be guessing for weeks before you stumble upon the right answer :-)

 
Set up your ARS to send the main BTN. They are probably rejecting the call due to the digits you are presenting to them.
 
I am with TTT on this, AT&T is very strict with the caller ID and will reject anything that is not 100% on their circuit as provisioned number. You can try and not sending any caller ID to see if that would work
amriddle01 however hit it on the head, you have to find someone at AT&T to tell you what the system is doing wrong to get this resolved faster.

Thanks everyone, at the end it was an AT&T issue. The tech that was on the line this time actually stayed with me and figured out what the issue was unlike the first person that wanted to get off and keep going with another customer.
