On an IpOffice....

I have a PRI down and need some general sanity tests I can do on the IP office.
No channels comes into service

Assuming a properly configured (and previously working) PRI:
I put a T-Berd on the circuit and can make/revieve calls.
But when terninated into the IpO---no worky.

If you plug a T1 loopback connector, should the light go green on the PRI card? (I'm thinking like Nortel stuff).
Any other things you can look at in the IpOffice besides the help display of "Not In Service" on the channels.
I've got monitor on filtering to ISDN but don't see any usefull stuff there.

Thanks!

The PRI port on the 500 will go green as well as the light on the PRI circuit from phone company when connected.

Since you can make and receive calls w tberd - issue does not lie with the PRI circuit - issue is with 500. Does the port on the front of the 500 go green when you connect PRI circuit to it (circuit and 500 will go green) if your PRI blinks red when connected it may be that you are plugging into the wrong port. I have done that before.

Or general hardware failure -- if you know it is the correct port.

Also I assume your lines are 'in service' when you are viewing the lines in manager?

ACSS - SME

so just to be clear, this was working on the past and now it's not? if so power down ip office and reseat the pri card, re power up and then retest, if circuit is still down you could have a faulty pri card. have you plugged a loop back plug into the pri slot yet?

Thanks Guys!
***RESOLVED**
I actually had 2 PRI's down do to severe storms with lots-o-lightning

Initial Symptoms:
PRI port 9 >All Channels Out Of Service >No Lights on PRI module > Smart Jack NOT in Alarm
When connected to T-Berd D-Channel wouldn't go active

PRI port 10> All Channels Out of Servcice > No Lights on PRI module > Smart Jack NOT in Alarm
Plugging LoopBacks in did not light up either Pri ports
When connected to T-Berd you could make/receieve calls

Reboot IpO & Reseat Pri
Pri port 9 (unchanged) All Channels Out Of Service >No Lights on IpO module > Smart Jack NOT in Alarm

Pri port 10 All Channels Idle> Light alternately between Green/Off/Flashing Green/ > Smart Jack NOT in Alarm
[ul]
[li]Maded a outbound call[/li]
[li]It tried for PRI port 9- "Got Waiting for Line"[/li]
[li]Saw a couple other channels go active trying to complete call[/li]
[li]All channels went Out Of Service[/li]
[li]Green light went out.[/li]
[/ul]

Resolution

Sorry....How many time have I hit SUMBIT post instead of PREVIEW.

Resoltion
ATT was on site for 4 hours.
We had data circuit issues along with the PRI's

PRI port 9
AT&T fixed their stuff and declared the ciruit good.
NOT..D-Channel wouldn't come up on T-Berd still
They turned up the D-Channel and T-berd came up
No Change on IpO. Port still dead- No lights

PRI port 10.
Even though it originally worked to the T-Berd they managed to kill it and then fix it
This circuit then came up again with T-Berd
No change in IpOffice. Upon reboot, channels came idle- then went out of service

Next we replaced our Ipo Dual Pri card
Noted both PRI ports went Green with loopback plugs.
Connected the repaired AT&T circuits
BINGO** All IpO Channels go Idle and calls come in and out and Life Is Good

Bottom Line
Bad AT&T circuits
Bad ports on PRI Card
Both ports exhibited different symptoms

awesome, sounds like you had a total meltdown lol glad it is fixed!
