Anything we can do about this? We have a T1 coming in to our IPO500 and ECAS but with no caller id not sure what to do. We answer and the other end hangs up.
Incoming CLI: Default = Blank (Match all)
Enter a number to match the caller's ICLID provided with the call. This field is matched left-to-right. Number options are:
• Full telephone number.
• Partial telephone number, for example just the area code.
• ! : Matches calls where the ICLID was withheld.
• ? : for number unavailable.
• Blank for all.
so use ! to match no CLI and reject the call or send it to a VM Node that advises they dont accept calls with no CLI.
I have the incoming configuration going to the main number and the destination to a voicemail pro front end. Can I have multiple incoming call routes for the same number? Where did you find this KB?
You can indeed have multiple routes, they will however be unique as one will be solely for routing Withheld numbers and the other will route calls that have a CLI
ACSS Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Communications
Thanks Guys, I have this working for our incoming main local number, now i need to do this for the 1800 number. I am unsure how AT&T transfers the 800 number to us? I though maybe that it was just transfer to our main local number but that is not the case. Looks like it just hits a trunk on our T1. Another question I have is that 1800 number must be looking at a block of DIDs?
Sound like you have no knowledge of digital lines at all, can't you call a Avaya IP Office specialist and let him/her solve the problem?
can't be more then half an hour work for a good engineer.

Call Avaya, costs only €400 per hour, you must buy at least five hours.
But then you can talk to a REAL expert....
Now that is what i call support.
amridlle is rightabout the isdn messages, once the station starts to ring the ipo expects a call progress message, the connect message is received if the call is answered.
If you tracethe PRI with monitor ( ISDN filter ) then you can see what messages are send/received calling to th Nortel.
