If you want a more tailored tool, Radiant(aloha) just released the Radiant Deployment Framework. It's a support tool based on enterprise that lets you view uptime, network/system info, msr misreads, backlight hours, query running tasks, send remote commands, vnc, file manager, and pretty much anything else you'd need. It's made specifically for Aloha, so it works pretty nicely. We've been beta partners for it and it's starting to shape up to a powerful support platform. They're working on a feature that will enable it to handle microsoft updates and aloha software upgrades as well.
Not sure when it's available to the public, but you won't find anything better for a pos management tool.
