Polycom SoundStation2 calls disconnecting

We currently have a few meeting rooms with new Soundstation2's installed - connected to analogue ports on an Option 61C. The issue we are experiencing is that intermittently the some calls are disconnected. We are dialling out to one number, so only one external call and from the conferences, we are the only ones leaving the conference - therefore the issue looks to be at our site.

This has only started happening with the installation of the new Soundstation2.

We have tried different trunks (inc vendors.), analogue ports, cards, etc - no difference - sometimes the calls last 60mins and others they are cut off after 10mins.

We are starting to think that there is an issue with the Polycom and our PBX, but......

In the meantime we are going to put the old, battered Sounstation (1?) back into one of the rooms to see if it does relate to the newer version.....


Any ideas?



 
could be just a single bad poly, we use them all over the site withuot that problem.. the switch just sees a 600 ohm loop during the conversation, that goes open longer then a hook flash the switch sees a hangup

this is happening to more than one Soundstation2 - we have just recently installed 8 into all our meeting rooms, this intermittent issue has been experienced in at least four stations.

We are going to put the old Soundstation back in to see if the problem occurs with this one (it hadn't in the four years previously) - this should indicate whether or not it is the device model (or something to do with it...)
