pin not working 4.0.1

i've loaded 4.0.1 before but have had a bear of a time with these two. i'm loading it on an S8400 and an S8300. i had to manually install the update, couldn't do it via the wizard or the maint browser. now after i login with dadmin and and enter my PIN, when i re-enter i get "incorrect pin".

i have reloaded the software once. i can login with other logins and get by for now.

problem was enable dadmin not checked in the license file.
