have a 403 3.0(48) and i have one extension that keeps ringing randomly and the only way to stop it is to unplug the phone. it appears to happen sometimes after a call comes into that extension. Ringback is turned off. anybody? Thanks

I have had similar issues with bridged appearences, as I understand that is a know issue and I am not sure if it's fixed in the latest or not

no bridged appearances but his extesnion is a hunt group that he is a member of.

I've only seen this with the bridged, not had issues with hunt group members, yet

my issue was constant ringing, unplugged the set and it continued after I plugged it back in,

to fix I unplugged the set, cleared the bridged appearences in manager, merged, then plugged the set back in and it was fine, I thne re-entered the bridged and it has not re-occured (knock on wood)

I've experienced the same thing here at least once, I think I narrowed it down to voicemail ringback, but not sure why it is random. I am up to the august updates for the admin and user software(3.0), am planning on upgrading to the latest 3.0 upgrade either tonight or tommorrow, not sure if that is part of the problem or not though...

the symptoms i experienced were about the same as jml2665's I unplugged and plugged back in still rang. the next time I unplugged and plugged back in and as soon as there was a dialtone i hit the message key to retrieve messages. was there a message waiting for the user when it happened? if so that might be the problem. you could also access the messages for the user on another extension to take care of the voicemail ringback if that is the case or try turning voicemail ringback off on their extension.. but that is probaly a last option.

It also can happen if someone is listening to the music feed when a call comes in.

I've been told by Avaya that if you do a station pickup from another phone, that makes the call go away. Try that and see if it helps.

Yes kristiang. I opened the ticket and told Avaya about the MOH bug but it is a bug in 3.1 only.

I have seen this problem in 3.0 and there were only two solutions. An incoming route is missing or upgrade to a different firmware version.
