Guys,

I have an IPO 8.0 Q4 release and 9611G phones and when the operator performs a screened transfer she follows these steps:

Answer the phone
Press transfer
dial extension
announces call
hangs up or presses transfer.

The problem is the display of the transferee shows the phone number for the outside caller, rather than the display of the transferer. A hasty upgrade of phone firmware from Avaya's site to Jan 2013 h323 firmware did not make any changes. Ideas or solutions?

Turn off the "call timer" on the phone itself.

That is the way it works, Avaya changed that when it was introduced in the US. As you may noticed the call does not only show the external number in the display but also rings as a external call, very annoing to the one the call is transferred to.
Despite some feature change request it is still working that stupid way and i'm afraid it will never be changed back to the way all other phonesystems work.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

amriddle01, yes that sums up my system's problem, too. And I am on 96xx sets as well.

Bas1234 no calltimers enabled that I am aware of, that is a user enabled feature, correct?

intrigrant, you sure about that? I would have heard about this before now I think. And our own shop IPO works as intended on a transfer, only when the operator hangs up does the callers info appears.

I know the dunces at Avaya decided to hide the "missed calls" on handset logs, too. What a step forward, lol.

It's just a thing you could try:

Press Avaya Menu button.
Select Options & Settings or Phone Settings.
Press Select or OK.
Select Call Settings.
Press Select or OK.
Select Display Call Timers.
Press Change or OK to toggle the call timer display on or off. Press Save.

Funny works fine on 1608 and 1408 (the name in brackets)....on 8 and 8.1, perhaps this is specific to 96xx handsets [ponder]
