.pdf Attachment in Outlook 2002 won't open

Hi there, Can any please tell me I couldn't open any .pdf attachment in Outlook 2002? Instead word opens when you click on the attachment. Thanks very much..
 
Does it open correctly if you save it to your desktop first?

Is it imbedded within the text of the mail message (RTF format, no paperclip icon), or is it an actual attachment (HTML or plain text format with paperclip icon)?
 
It is actually an html format with paper clip icon.
 
I know I've seen this problem mentioned before, but I can't seem to locate where at the moment. Have you tried reinstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader?

This should solve your problem. Instead of directly opening the attachment try saving it to your computer. Then go to the file and right-click and go to properties. There should be an "Opens With" button. There will also be a button to the right of this called "Change". CLick this and select Acrobat from the list. If Acrobat is not in the list then it means it is not properly installed on your computer, in which case you will have to re-install it.
