I cannot obtain internet connectivity with my DSL provider Verizon. Their phone support cannot resolve my problem. My computer is not able to accept the ip address (192.xyz.a.b) provided by the dsl modem. The modem was replaced to no avail. Could the ethernet card be faulty? How can I find out if it is? Please provide a detiled list of steps for me to use to diagnose, if not fix, the current problem.
