Does anyone know of a way to pass a Ds1 through the PBX? I'm referring to bringing a T-1 into a DS1 card in EPN2 and sending it back out of a DS1 card in EPN3. I have an application where I have fiber between 2 EPN cabinets, plenty of BW, and the need for a DS1 "tie line" between 2 non-pbx devices located in the same rooms as the EPN's. -CL

I have another company with a PBX in the same building as 1 of my EPN's. They are also going to lease space in another one of our buildings where they'll install a 2nd PBX. They will be buying a tie line between the 2. I wanted to try to provide the tie facility for them. -CL

AC is a new one to me. Does that mean I would setup 24 data mods or access endpoints @ 64K? -CL

Sorry, i'm late.

Look at it this way:

The DS1 cards are originator and destination endpoints.
The trunks are programmed as access.(group type) and then program the endoints.

More information about this you can find on the I&M CD.
