Paging issue

I have an IP 500 running software 9.0.

The customer used to have a Merlin Legend system. The page unit is a GAI Tronics page unit. This page device used to be hooked up to a port on a 008 opt card on a legend system.

I spoke to tech support for the page unit. it needs ring voltage to answer.

I installed a wmt1a unit on the analog port on the ip office. i get my page across the cable going to the unit, but still i have no page?

any ideas?

The GaiTronics was on an analog station port configured as a regular station. I suspect that you have the IPO station port configured for paging. Change IPO station to IVR, remove the wmt1a, hook station to GaiTronics and all will be right with the world.

I just tried that. i called the ext, and all i get is ringing.

Make sure you're getting ringing to the GaiTronics box. You MAY also have an issue because the IPO ring isn't as hearty as Legend/Magix. Hook a CO line directly to the GaiTronics and confirm that it'll answer a ring.
