Some months ago, I send a message to a list of people on my Exchange 5.5 with a service notice - requesting a receipt from them. EVerything worked fine until a user's pc died a wek or so ago and had to be rebuilt. Office was reinstalled on the pc but I now find that the user (whose machine I rebuilt) still sends me annoying read receipts evry minute while her machine is swtiched on and outlook opened. Any ideas on how to stop this? I have temporarily set up a rule to send the messages to the trash - but this is not a fix.

Outlook receiving Multiple Read receipts from a user every minute!

Hi.
In the non-corporate MS Outlook 2000, you can do the following to stop the
automatic processing of read receipts. Do this on the other Users PC(try it anyway even in a corporate environment.
1) Start Outlook
2) Choose Tools menu
3) Choose Options
4) Choose Preferences folder
5) Choose Email Options button
6) Choose Tracking Options button
7) De-select Process Receipts on Arrival
If you are in a corporate setting, your system administrator may not allow
deactivation of this feature.
