Hi All,

I have an end user who sends "Recurring Tasks" from within outlook2000. These tasks are sent to other users. Sometimes they want to remove the task. The only way they can do this is by actually deleting the task but then they have no record in outlook of this task. So when you do a "Help" in outlook 2000 for "Stop recurring Tasks" the outlook help displays you can do this by "On the Actions menu, click Recurrence. Click Remove Recurrence"

However, when going to the action menu there is no option to "remove recurrence".

Can anyone offer any suggestions or do I need to call MS to ask them why?

Thanks in advance

Disregard. After talking with Microsoft this action is by design. You can edit a recurrence when you setup the task from within your outlook tasks, but once you send this task in an email to someone else you lose the ability to edit the task from recurring and have no option but to delete the task. This end users whole idea was that he wanted to simply stop the recurrence and wanted to keep this record in the Tasks area. They are a Maintenance department so they depend heavily on tracking tasks.
