I had windows 2000 loaded onto my laptop then I upgraded to XP Home edition . My contacts in outlook express are now all gone . How do I retrieve them and my mails ?

Contacs are keep by the Outlook Express in a ".wab" file.
Try to search for "*.wab" files on your drive.

If you cannot find it,... then it is lost.

Also for emails, they are files with ".dbx" extension.
Search for that kind of files.
