Hey, I've been having an annoying problem with Outlook Express for months now. In short: When I click on ANY link, the program freezes up and stops responding. I can get links working again by restarting my computer, but shortly thereafter, the problem's back. Nothing seems to fix it, and Microsoft's support site doesn't appear to address the problem. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Does it happen with all hyperlinks? - like e-mail addresses, or does it just happen with web links?

Start by using the fix that member bcastner posted in thread608-773148. Test the results, if it works stop here.

If you still have the problem, close IE (if open), open Windows Explorer and go to Tools, Folder Options, File types tab. Click to highlight Url Internet Shortcut and click the Advanced button. Click to select 'open', then the Edit button. Change the application used to perform action to: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome
