Have setup an account on Exchange Server. When I
log on from client m/c & try to setup Outlook 2002 i keep
getting prompted for a password. When entered I
get "logon information was incorrect" I've already logged
onto the Win2000 Server with same username & password,
double checked that it's ok & even tried someone else's
account that is working from they're client m/c but keep
getting prompted for password then failed logon. It just
seems to be 2 client m/c's from 15 that have this
problem. Can anyone please help - i'll have no hair left
soon!!!

Thanks In Advance,
Gary

Have u checked what type of password authentication is required on the outlook client settings?

Hi Kippy13,
Thanks for the reply. I've tried setting new profiles, data files etc but I keep getting asked for Logon & password. The porofile was set to network authentication which should mean connected once logged onto the network. I did change it to none however but I still get prompted for Logon & password. I'm beginning to think it could be an O/S problem. I've re-installed Office XP but it didn't make any difference. Any other ideas?

Regards,
Gary

Hi Gary,
Can u get anyones accounts working on these two machines? Specifically will someone whos account works on another machine work on one of these machines?
Can u also clarify one thing, u say u set this account up on another machine and it worked fine, is this correct?
We basically got to figure out if its and exchange account problem or an OS problem as u say.

Hi JP,
Sorry for the delay as I've been out the Office. Yes I can set u pthe 2 accounts ok on other clients & send/ recieve e-mail ok. The 2 machines that are in question, won't let me set up anyone's accounts - keep getting prompted for Username/ password, which is always rejected. I've set up the 2 accounts on other persons computers so e-mail is getting through but unfortunatel=y not on the proper clients. Any ideas?

Gary

Im stumped!
I'd advise a rebuild of the machines totally as u'vce spent long enough dealing with it already.
