Outlook Calendar Reminders Don't Remind?

Hey all,

Currently using Microsoft Outlook 2002 (10.2627.2625).

I leave my Outlook open all day / night, and in the morning when I get into the office, reminders scheduled do not appear. The only way I can get them to pop up is if I close Outlook and reopen it. After this, during the course of the day, the calendar reminders begin to show up regularly until the next morning.

Any ideas?

Are you on an Exchange server? Are they perhaps taking the Exchange offline at night for backups?
